FireFly(TM) Detonation Detection
Engine knock is a significant consideration with todays low-emission, high-efficiency engines. The Woodward FireFly(TM) control detects knock and adjusts ignition timing to compensate, thus protecting your gas engine and improving efficiency. Using knock sensors placed on the engine block, the FireFly control can analyze each cylinder separately, and can adjust timing and/or load for individual cylinders.
